PEEM–XMCD beamtime at the ALBA Synchrotron, Barcelona
From June 2 to 8, 2026, Prof. Young-Gwan Choi and Eunji Im traveled to the ALBA Synchrotron near Barcelona, Spain, together with Hayden Binger and Marina (Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, Dresden) to carry out photoemission electron microscopy with X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (PEEM–XMCD) experiments. It was an intense and productive beamtime — with a little time to enjoy Barcelona too. We hope the data lead to exciting results!
2026년 6월 2일부터 8일까지, 최영관 교수와 임은지 학생이 막스플랑크 화학물리연구소(MPI-CPfS, 드레스덴)의 Hayden Binger·Marina와 함께 스페인 바르셀로나 인근의 ALBA 방사광가속기를 방문해 PEEM–XMCD(X선 자기원편광이색성 광전자현미경) 실험을 수행했습니다. 강도 높지만 알찬 빔타임이었고, 바르셀로나의 정취도 잠시 즐겼습니다. 좋은 결과로 이어지길 기대합니다!
