Prof. Amir Yacoby at the UOU Quantum Technology Forum 2026
On October 7, 2026, we were honored to host Prof. Amir Yacoby (Department of Physics, Harvard University) for the UOU Quantum Technology Forum 2026, "From Quantum Matter to Quantum Technology," held at the University of Ulsan and co-organized with UNIST. Prof. Yacoby gave a keynote lecture and took part in a fireside chat and a panel discussion on quantum technology for industry, together with Prof. Seon Namgung, Prof. Sanghoon Kim, and our Prof. Young-Gwan Choi, followed by a lively audience Q&A.
Afterwards, Prof. Yacoby visited the QUASAR Lab and toured our NV quantum-sensing setup, including our NV scanning microscope. He shared a great deal of valuable advice on our experiments and research directions, and we were glad to agree on continuing our exchange and collaboration going forward. We warmly thank Prof. Yacoby for his visit and his generous insight.
2026년 10월 7일, 하버드대학교 물리학과의 Amir Yacoby 교수님을 모시고 「UOU Quantum Technology Forum 2026」(From Quantum Matter to Quantum Technology)을 울산대학교에서 개최했습니다. 이번 포럼은 UNIST와 공동으로 열렸습니다. Yacoby 교수님께서는 기조강연을 해주셨고, 남궁선 교수님·김상훈 교수님, 그리고 저희 최영관 교수와 함께 ‘산업을 위한 양자기술’을 주제로 좌담과 패널 토론에 참여하셨으며, 청중과의 질의응답도 활발히 이어졌습니다.
이어 Yacoby 교수님께서는 QUASAR Lab을 방문해 NV 양자 센싱 셋업과 NV 스캐닝 현미경을 둘러보시고, 저희 실험과 연구 방향에 대해 값진 조언을 많이 해주셨습니다. 앞으로의 교류와 협력을 이어가기로 뜻을 모아 매우 뜻깊은 자리였습니다. 방문해 주시고 아낌없는 통찰을 나눠주신 Yacoby 교수님께 깊이 감사드립니다.
